Why it exists
Public registries are fragmented across agencies, provinces, and municipalities. The directory normalizes those records so a homeowner or researcher can find the original company, source category, location, and licence context without knowing which registry to search first.
What inclusion means
Inclusion means a record appeared in a documented public source. It is not an endorsement or guarantee. Where a public source URL and identifier are available, we show them so visitors can confirm current status before hiring.
How the site is funded
The directory may display clearly identified advertising. Advertising does not create a licence record, change a source, or turn an unverified listing into a verified one.
